Just a reminder, and we're sooooo excited, our next session is beginning in two weeks and we look forward to seeing you there! It's been a year now and we're thrilled with the reception our little group has received and we're going to press forward with a few fun changes.
Anna Morrison, of Around the Quilt Block will be joining our team to run our online exchanges and add her beautiful creativity. Our group continues to gain momentum and distance, so in order to streamline with the other Utah modern quilt guilds attached to the National Modern Quilt Guild, we are renaming our group the Utah County Modern Quilt Group. Broadbent's Quilt Store will still sponsor us, and we will continue to hold our meetings there.
We enjoyed our RWB stripe fabric exchange so much last session, we are holding a polka dot fabric exchange, beginning in October, with sign-ups in September. We will also be selling kits of 50 different dot fabrics in the store to get your mind as dotty as ours!
And finally, and we will be releasing more information in September, the Utah County Modern Quilt Group will be heading an online block exchange this fall/winter that we hope all of you will join us in, whether you can get to our class, or not. If you haven't heard about it already, check out QuiltCon, the first quilting expo led by the National Modern Quilt Guild, in February. Our online exchange will mirror the colors and theme of QuiltCon's, in an effort to bring modern quilters across our county together and spread the fun of modern quilting.
Until next meeting!
